Accessibility & Venue Details

Top of the Rock offers a classic New York City experience with its observation deck’s stunning views:

• Accessibility: The venue is wheelchair accessible, with on-site bathrooms available for guests.

• Capacity: Ideal for smaller ceremonies, allowing up to 6 guests (10 total with the couple and vendors). Couples can have more than 6 guests if they purchase additional tickets, but space is limited.

• Facilities: Service animals are permitted, but no pets. The venue is open year-round, with an indoor area available for ceremonies in case of rain.

Must Know

  • Permit Requirements: The couple must coordinate ticket purchases for themselves, their guests, and vendors. Tickets start at $38 per person and can be booked through Top of the Rock’s website. Booking tickets in advance is highly recommended due to the venue’s popularity.
  • Restrictions: No chairs, decor, alcohol, candles, or sparklers are allowed. Videography restrictions apply; customers must obtain permission by completing a request form on the venue’s website if they wish to include video coverage.
  • Additional Tips:
  • This venue is not suitable for first looks, as couples must enter together and take the elevator up.
  • Despite its public nature, Top of the Rock provides an exciting and memorable experience without the high cost of a private rooftop location.

Good to Know Before You Elope Here

Definitely meet at the Visitor Center half hour prior to when you have your ceremony scheduled with all parties. Keep in mind it takes about 18-minutes to drive from the visitor center to Sprague Lake. If you have elder folks, feel free to bring them a folding chair. All other decorations and chairs not allowed unless given special permission from Rocky Mountain National Park Reminder not to carry too much. You don’t want a bunch of bags, etc in your photos. In the case of rain, we can duck into your car and wait for the weather to pass (it generally breaks quickly). Otherwise, we can plan for another day. Touch base with us in that case! Bring walking shoes if you intend to wear high heels in your ceremony. You won’t regret the flats, I promise! Reminder, dogs are not permitted at this location. Speaking of tips, we highly recommend them for your team! $30/person is customary and means a lot for the work they put in! Lastly, don’t forget to have fun.
